Social economy and social enterprises constitute a strong European sector, being represented by at least two million enterprises and employers, over 11 million employees, or 6% of the workforce („Creating a favorable climate for social enterprises, key stakeholders in the social economy and innovation” - Committee on Employment and Social Affairs, 2012). Social enterprises often employs people with disabilities and/or subject to discrimination, or provide social services and/or goods and services to them. They complement and provide leverage to public sector efforts to implement social policies, improve labour market integration, social inclusion and enhance skills.
SENSENET stands to build capacity of Social Economy Enterprises and Social Economy Organisations managers and human resources to include diversity in their recruitment and management processes and to improve their performance in terms of social innovation and cohesion.
